Luke Cittadini (Committee Member in charge for this task)

Luke and his gf went to visit four different factories and below is what he reported:

"Total of 4 manufacturing sites were visited. Sikhoraphum (Surin) now abandoned, Lop Buri, Pitchit (Nakhon Sawan) and Dan Kwian Pottery village Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat).

All locations, visited, refer back to Dan Kwian Pottery Village for new designs and engineering. Though (Nakhon Sawan) could make our original TerraCotta lamps for 1400 baht (because of locally purchased materials) all newly designed Terracotta lamps coming from Korat are mass produced at an estimated cost of 1,350 Baht a piece, depending on quantity.

Our old design was estimated at 2,500 baht (by Korat) due to re-engineering design, materials and workmanship.

The cost of new designed Terra Cotta lamps was given at 1,350 baht each, though it was also suggested that due to the proposed quantity a further discount could be received (to be determined) if this goes through."

Luke took many pictures and the Committee in its last meeting decided to finalize the wanted design by the 21st of September 2019. We can choose from 9 lamps and 4 tops. We hope to have the new 32 lamps installed max by the end of November 2019.
