I know that the buildings are getting older but for the first 10 to 15 years when we used a good quality stain, Berger, this was not a problem .


The TOA paint, the committee selected, we have to use now is guarantied with 15 years protection but my paint started to flake off after 1 year. Is there any possibility we can claim against this? Could we change the paint to something better?


As we are now using a paint, used to be a stain, is there any reason to ban a change to steel or aluminium railing as you now can not see the difference?

The change from the original Berger wood stain to the inferior TOA paint should have been discussed at an AGM.


This change totally changed the feel of the interior of the balconies, which is private property, as well as the exterior. As far as I know these kind of changes have to decided by an AGM, not by a committee member. You really had the feeling of wood before we changed to the paint.


I did not mean that all railings should be changed to metal just that it could be done by individual owners as you can not see the difference now when we are using paint. It will probably be quite expensive to change to metal compared to…
